As you can see from the table below, research on the front page position on Google, if your web site is not ranked on page one of Google search results, it may as well not be indexed at all as only 5.25% of the searchers get past the first page of the Google search results. Incredibly, of the millions (maybe billions) of web sites that exist, most have no chance of ever being found by a searcher.
Research on Ranking on the Front Page of Google Search Results
Postion on Google Search Results Percentage of Traffic Captured by Site
Position #1 34.35%
Position #2 through 4 36.11%
Position #5 through 10 24.29%
Beyond Page 1 5.25%
There is simply so much competition to get on Google’s first page because if you’re not there, it does not matter where you rank as no one will find you. Our speciality is getting off-line (i.e. non-Internet) businesses with 15 or more employees, or $1 million+ in sales, positioned on the first page fo Google and staying there. For businesses of that size, the first page position means signficant extra business. Read on why very few succeed and most fail getting to page 1 of Google.
How to get to your business on the front page of Google
The Internet has unfortunately become littered with a thicket of links, blogs, words and mostly pure junk placed by website owners all attempting to get on the first page of Google search results. But 99.9% of this content is wasted. These linking services are mostly sold by young people who know very little about what it takes to get a site ranked highly. They operate on opinion rather than fact, they operate on tips they get from free blogs, they operate on hearsay. If you want the facts and the evidence of what works to get your website, your business, listed on the first page of Google, you finally reached the right place. Get ready to enjoy the visibility you’ve craved.
But
before we continue, I want to provide you evidence that this blog is worth reading. I could be another guy with a bunch of opinions so let me provide an example.
I took a seemingly impossible example to show you as proof that first page position on Google is not a pipe dream. It is less difficult to get your web site ranked highly for a “‘long tail” keyword, meaning a very specific search term, usually 3 or 4 words such as “restaurant plastic salt shaker.” Not many people search on those 4 words. There are more people searching on the 3 words “plastic salt shaker” and even more people search on “salt shaker.” As the term becomes more general, there are more people searching and the key word is more competitive and harder to get your web site ranked for that general keyword on Google’s first page.
Because it is so much easier to get a very specific key phrase such as “restaurant plastic salt shaker,” on the first page of Google, the consultants who promise to get you top ranking on Google will insist you use such a specific phrase. You will get what you pay for as no one searches for “restaurant plastic salt shaker.” In fact, you may want to sell all types of salt shakers and appeal to a broad audience and want to rank highly on Google for the phrase “salt shaker.” My competitors who charge $99 to get you on the first page of Google will not and can never do it for $99. So do not succumb to any of their nonsense that you want a specific key phrase. The more specific the key phrase, the fewer people searching for it and the less business you will do.
Now my example to show you that when you know how to do it, your web site can be ranked for high volume general search phrases. I selected the word “retire.” Pretty general, huh? Below you see that two of my sites are positioned in the 3rd and 4th position on the first page of Google for that ridiculously general word, even though Google has over 8 million sites indexed using that word and there are 1.2 million searches monthly using that word.
I am listed above the Social Security Administration and Money Magazine. How is that possible? Because if you know how Google ranks sites, then you can use that methodology to get these results. I don’t have a big budget and I did not pay Google a dime for this result (these natural search results do not have any direct cost). Note that because this word “retired” is not an important word for my business, I have stopped promoting it and the position has dropped — a good example that once you reach page 1, you need to STAY on page 1, a service that we provide).
Did I bribe someone at Google to tell me how to do this? No.
Like you, I wasted years listening to others tell me how to do this and paying them, over $200,000 to various “consultants” and “experts” who are quick to take money for activity with no guarantee of results. Tired of wasting money and many months waiting and not getting results, I figured it out on my own. Just like Thomas Edison, I did lots of experiments and found out what worked and what did not work. Now that I have uncovered the “light bulb” , I can offer the same to you for your business and get you on the first page on Google.

Awe-inspiring! These can be certainly one of the best helpful blogs. Actually Fantastic. I’m also an expert in this insights therefore I can understand your hard work!
Admiring the time and energy you put into your weblog and in depth info you offer. It is good to come across a weblog every once in a even though that isn’t exactly the same old rehashed material. Fantastic read! I’ve bookmarked your internet site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.
